There are many ways to write concluding paragraphs, but the fundamentals are key.

How To Write A Conclusion

  • Use your itroductory paragraph as a guide.

  • If it is a longer paper, a good place to start is by looking at what each paragraph is about.

  • Leave your reader on something to think about.

What to include

  • If a brilliant idea pops in your head, keep it out of the concluding paragraph

  • Don't restate the thesis statement

  • Each topic in your story should be mentioned in the essay

  • The closing sentence should be pleasing to the reader

Concluding strategies that do not work

  • beginning with unnecessary, overused prases.

  • Stating the thesis for the very first time.

  • introducing a new idea or subtopic in your conclusion.

  • making sentimetal, emotional appeals that are out of character with the rest of the paper.

  • including evidence (quotations, statistics, etc.) that should be in the body of the paper.
