3.3 Review

  • y and f(x) are the same- f(x) tells us the equation is a function

  • f(x) is read as "f of x"

  • Opposite of 3.1- we know these are functions, now we're looking for inputs (x) or outputs (y)

  • We can evaluate functions when we're given x (input) or f(x) (output)

  • We can also use graphs, tables, and coordinate pairs to find x or f(x) when given the input or output
