GPA

  • Grade

  • Point

  • Average

3

  • Your GPA is the average of all your semester report card grades for the courses you take in high school.

  • What is the average mean?

  • Pretty much which grades you are most likely getting... 3.0 means mostly B's 4.0 means mostly A's etc

4

Because it’s an average, every grade has an impact.

When you get into High school you will have MORE classes and that GPA will grow until you graduate

And because it’s an average, the more grades you’ve already earned, the harder it is to make dramatic changes in your GPA. Once you hit your junior and senior years, usually more than half the grades for your final GPA have already been “baked into” the calculations. Meaning it wont make a huge change.

FRESHMAN AND SOPHOMORE YEAR

SCALES- Can Vary

A basic GPA is calculated on a 4-point scale.
