Statement and Question

  • A STATEMENT gives INFORMATION and usually ends with a full stop.

  • Example: Ms. Jacquie is tired today.

  • A QUESTION ASKS something and ends with a question mark.

  • Example: Why is Ms. Jacquie tired today?

Exclamation and Command

  • An EXCLAMATION shares a strong FEELING and ends with an exclamation mark!

  • Example: I am exhausted!

  • A COMMAND gives an order and usually ends with an exclamation mark!

  • Example: Go to bed right now!
