Simple Past Tense
Is a way of expressing actions that started and finished in the past.
Example: In 1994, Louis Garret painted a famous castle.
"Painted" is the action in past simple tense.
Example: Yesterday, Albert ran 3 kilometers in the park.
"ran" is the action in past simple tense.

Past Simple Tense- Regular and Irregular Verbs
Past Simple Verbs can be divided in Regular and Irregular.
Regular verbs end with the words "ed".
Example: George played videogames with his sister.
"played" is a regular verb in simple past tense. It's infinitive for is "play".
Irregular verbs may change the root word, but sometimes it doesn't.
Example: Karen ate pizza last night. Henry read a magazine yesterday.
"ate" is an irregular verb in Simple Past Tense. Its infinitive form is "eat".
"read" is an irregular verb in Simple Past Tense. Its infinitive form is "read"
