Introduction
As you see the picture in the first slid, that is a type of cell. A cell is a single structure of life. They work together to make lives, even us! If you are ready, let's get started with the Cell Theory!
Remember! RED words are your vocabularies for this topic!!!
And BLUE words are important knowledges!
3
Cell Theory
There three theories or laws for cells:
1) All organisms are composed of one or more cells.
2) The cell is the basic unit of life.
3) All cells come from pre-existing cells.
Let's have a practice in case make sure you understand this topic!
4
Multiple Select
Which statement(s) is NOT belong to the Cell Theory?
All cells come from other cells.
Plant cell in the same as animal cell.
Cell is the basic of lives like us!
Cells are small.
5
Eukaryotes
You noticed that one of the correct answer is "Animal cell is the same as the plant cell.", actually, they are different.
Animal cell called "Eukaryotes" is the main types of cell we will talk about today!
Plant cell are much similar to Eukaryotes, but they also have a lot differentiates!
6
Organelle
Before we basically talking about the parts of a Eukaryotes, I want to teach you about organelles.
It is very similar to the last key term organism, but they are very different.
An organelle basically is any membrane enclosed structure with specialized functions in the cytoplasm of an Eukaryotes Cell.
Let's have a quick review
7
Open Ended
What is the official name for "Animal Cells"?
8
Cell Membrane
Barriers that separate what's out and inside of the cell.
Also protect the organelles in the cell
Is thin and flexible, just like our skin
9
Cytoplasm
This is all the content of the cell except the Cell Membrane and the Nucleus.
Cytosol - The fluid part of the cytoplasm, flows all the organelles.
Cytoskeleton - The "bones" in the cell, they give the cell a structure and help with the movements just like our bones.
10
The Nucleus
The "brain" of the cell
Contain Nucleolus, and the genetic information (DNA)
Controls the behavior and the movements of the cell.
11
Inside the Nucleus
Nucleolus - A structure within the nucleus containing proteins and RNA which are used to build ribosomes
Ribosomes - Molecular machines that assemble proteins
DNA - The genetic information of the cell
12
Let's have a short REVIEW!!!
