Matter is all around us! Matter is anything that takes up space. There are three main types of matter : solids, liquids, and gases.

Solids- have their own shape / particles are packed tightly together

Liquids- take the shape of its container/ particles are close but able to flow

Gases- have no shape, spread out to fill the container/ particles are separate and move freely
