3

What is a Visual Learner?

A visual learner is someone who learns by seeing. Using images, presentations, or a demonstration. In this case, using arena mapping visuals. Demonstration of a dressage step and much more. Visual learning is a type of learning style in which students prefer to use visuals to communicate ideas and thoughts. Visual learners must-see information in order to learn it. In this case once more to teach them everything visually.

4

How can I spot a visual learner as one of my students?

  • Asking for a demonstration

  • Asking for a walkthrough of the arena

  • Doesn't pay attention to long speeches.

  • Try's to visualize the dressage step in their head and try to explain it. (These will be the first to respond when asked if they understood the step being explained.

  • Pays close attention whenever you move or interact with movements.(Such as trotting when speaking, following you around first before everyone else to not miss anything etc)

5

How can I see what dressage steps have the base of a visual learning style?

  • If a step is not easily explainable and better to show the student such as a confusing step or otherwise it would be considered a visual step.

  • It could also be a simple step that has a certain form such as a curl known as a simple full circle.

  • They mostly need the attention of the whole line in order to be done. Such as needing to bear where they need to be visual of those behind them or they will blob.

6

What is an Auditory Learner?

An Auditory learner learns from hearing commands and or explanations. They can also use your directions to create a visual in their heads. Auditory learners rely on directions, commands, and guidance of authority.

7

How to spot an Auditory learner

  • They will easily learn on command.

  • They follow instructions correctly.

  • You will always ask for an explanation or a repeat of something.

  • They pay more attention to you when you speak.

8

The Reading and writing Learner

A reading a learning writer will take notes. Such as writing dressage steps down or writing notes.

9

How to spot a reading a writing learner.

  • They will take notes

  • They will ask question

  • They will stop and say "Wait let me get my notes"

  • They study outside of sso time.

10

Whats a Kinesthetic Learner?

A kinesthetic learner in this case uses their virtual body in sso to learn something. Or they rather be hands-on about it.

11

How to spot a kinesthetic learner

  • They will want to demonstrate if a move is correct.

  • They tend to do the step while you explain or try to do it on their own.

  • They will ask "can you watch me then correct me" ect.

  • They train alone

12

Combinations

While finding someones combinations you really have to stress everything when you teach to understand a student. They might be a visual+auditory or Auditor+Kinesthetic but you must see what is their base core learning style. Do they first depend on the visual to then do it? Or do they do kinestetic when they hear your command? Think of all the combinations possible.

13

Now by now you should have your rewritten Basics-Inter notes

You must correctly have all the correct information. If you do not ASK your team before you ask ME. Use personal dms if need be.

14

How will my notes be graded?

  • Correct number/All dressage steps written down.

  • How you explained the final step using each step's core learning style incorporated into one sentence.

  • The tidyness and neatness of the notes taken.

  • Submitted on time.

  • Correct terminology/visuals.

15

Study tips

Look over your notes and truly think outside of the box and all possibilities for each step and choose the 2 core learning styles. Also make sure to think about possible situations used. DO NOT USE YOUR NOTES for the exam not only are you lying to yourself but it will show later on that you did not study or remember anything you learned. Making you fail as an emergency instructor and being dishonest with not only me but yourself.
