About The Solar System

Our solar system consists of our star, the Sun, and everything bound to it by gravity the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, dwarf planets such as Pluto, dozens of moons and millions of asteroids, comets and meteoroids. There are 7 planets and 5 Dwarf Planets (there can be more dwarf planets but we are learning these drawf planets)

The Dwarf Planets are Eris, Pluto, Halmea, Makemake, Ceres.

• Moon dose not have any atmosphere. This is why the moon is a quiet and soundless place. Sound need some medium to travel. On the Earth the medium is its atmosphere - the layer air.
