Open Ended
Choose two people to compare and write sentences using the comparative form.
7
We can also use the comparative form to show that two people are the very similar, or exactly the same.
Example: Ares is as strong as Apollo.
Also, even though they share the same characteristic, we can show how different the people are as follows:
Example: Demeter is not as young as Persephone.
8
Open Ended
Write your own sentence comparing two people that are the same/similar.
9
Superlative Form
The superlative form is used when we compare three or more people, groups or things.
Like the comparative form, we use the superlative form to show how similar things are using one characteristic, as follows:
Example: Hades is the most evil god in Greek mythology.
Example: Prometheus is the nicest god in Greek mythology.
10
Open Ended
Choose a person and write sentences comparing them to a group of people using the superlative form.
11
Look at the gods and goddesses on the next slide and compare them using the comparative and superlative forms. You can also compare their physical appearance. (page 58)
