About 30 to 50 families lived in a each village. Every family built their own house which was usually circular in shape. They made the frame of the house from bent tree branches and covered it with mud and grass. They covered teh rooof with bark and thatch. A hole was left in the roof to allow smoke from the cooking fire to escape. In good weather, the fire was kept outside.
