About Victorian era

• Queen Victoria ruled from 1837 to 1901. The time when she ruled is known as the Victorian Era.

• Today we are going to look at housing of that era.

HOUSING OF THE POOR

Workers lived in small, dark and damp back to back houses. The streets were dirty and rat infested. The water was dirty.

HOUSING OF THE RICH

Rich people lived in spacious houses. The furniture were very comfy and expensive. The curtains were of lace and satin.
