Large quantities
a lot of / lots of / plenty of - used in positive sentences with singular OR plural nouns
many
- used in negative sentences or questions with plural nouns (girls, books, lessons etc.)much - used in negative sentences or questions with uncountable nouns(water, time, money, information, equipment, furniture etc.)
