• Runājot par pabeigtu darbību kādā pagātnes laika periodā –

• Pagātnes situācijās, atainojot kādu pagātnes notikumu –

• Regulārie darbv. (regular verbs) -

  nenoteiksmei

  pievienojot –ed

  Piem., work - worked

• Neregulārie darbv. (irregular verbs) - 2.pamatforma neregulāro darbības vārdu tabulā

  Piem., say - said

Nolieguma formas:

• Nolieguma formas vienkāršajā pagātnē veido, nenoteiksmei pievienojot didn’t (did not) –

  Piem., It didn’t rain yesterday.

Jautājuma formas:

• Ar speciālo jautājamo vārdu –

• Bez speciālā jautājamā vārda –
