Gerunds
Gerunds are formed with -ing from the past participle of the verb.
They function as a subject, object, and object of prepositions.
Gerunds adalah sebuah kata kerja yang diberi akhiran -ing.
Gerunds dalam bahasa Inggris dipakai untuk menunjukkan bahwa kata kerja tidak hanya sebagai predikat. Gerunds dapat berfungsi sebagai subjek, objek, dan objek preposisi.

Reading pada kalimat di atas fungsinya sebagai Subjek. Ada di awal kalimat.
