rounding to the nearest 10

so rounding to the nearest 10. all you need to do is look at the units digit. If the units digit is 5 or more round up. If the units digit is 4 or less round down. The last digit in 356 is 6. So you round up so it will be 360.

3

rounding to the nearest 100

When rounding to the nearest hundred, look at the 10 DIGIT of the number. If that digit is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, you will round down to the previous 100. If that digit is 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, you will round up to the next 100. so if the number is 465 you'll look at the 6 and round up so it will be 370.

4

rounding to the nearest 1000

Rounding to the nearest 1000. To round a number to the nearest 1000 look at the hundreds digit. If the 100 digit is 5 or more round up. If the 100 digit is 4 or less, round down. The 100 digit in 4559 is 5. so it will be 4600.
