Present Simple:

• Example: She plays the violin.

Present Continuous:

• actions that are in progress at or around the time of

  speaking.

• is waiting, are trying, were playing

• Example: I am eating breakfast now.

Stative verbs:

• describes states not actions

• love, hate, believe, know, imagine

• Example: He hates rude people.
