In the cartoon, the imperative is used to express a wish for someone’s welfare and to give advice.
The imperative is also used to give orders, instructions, warnings, and to make offers, suggestions, invitations, requests, and recommendations.

To form affirmative imperatives, use the verb in its base form.
Ex: Enjoy your vacation!
