2

Afirmativa

  • Las oraciones en afirmativo contienen básicamente esta estructura:

    Pronombre + WAS/ WERE

     Ejemplo:

  • I was her friend. (Yo fui su amiga).

  • You were asleep. (Tú estabas dormido).

3

Negativo

  • Para negar las oraciones, lo único que se debe de hacer es agregar NOT después de mi verbo To Be (tal cual se hace en presente simple) o bien hacer uso de las contracciones WASN’T / WEREN’T.

    Pronombre + WAS/WERE + NOT

  • Ejemplo:

  • Last month, we weren’t in Brazil.

  • Two hours ago, you weren’t in the bank.

  • I was not in the party

4

Pregunta

  • Si deseamos hacer preguntas utilizando el verbo to be en pasado entonces seguiremos la siguiente estructura:

    WAS/WERE + Pronombre + ?

  • Ejemplo:

  • Were you born in July? Yes, I was / No I wasn’t

  • Were you in the party? Yes, I was / No, I wasn’t
