• WWW stands for World Wide Web and it is often called the Web.

• It is a huge set of interlinked web documents and images and other resources, linked by hyperlinks and URLs.

• - It was developed in 1989 by Timothy Berners-Lee of the European Particle Physics Lab (CERN) in Switzerland.

How does the WWW works?

• Web Clients- computers that request information from the internet

• Web Pages- web information is stored in documents

• Web browser- web pages are viewed with a user interface program
