Description

The Present perfect tense describes actions that happened at some undetermined time in the past. The action can or can not be finished. It may still be in progress or maybe expected to happen once more in the future.

Gramatical rules - Reglas gramaticales

Para formar el presente perfecto, se usa el verbo auxiliar “to have” en el presente y el participio pasado del verbo.

I, you, we, they + have + pasado participio

She, he, it + has + pasado participio



Structure - Estructura

Affirmative sentences (Oraciones afirmativas)

Sujeto + have/has + verbo pasado participio + complemento

Ejemplos:

I have talked to Peter. (Yo he hablado con Peter.)

She has gone to work. (Ella ha ido al trabajo.)

We have been to London. (Nosotros hemos ido a Londres.)

They have learned English. (Ellos han aprendido inglés.)

Negative sentences - Oraciones negativas

Sujeto + have/has + not + verbo pasado participio + complemento

Ejemplos:

I have not talked to Peter. (Yo no he hablado con Peter.)

He has not gone to work. (Él no ha ido a su trabajo.)

We have not been to London. (Nosotros no hemos ido a Londres.)

They have not learned English. (Ellos no han aprendido inglés.)
