משנכנס אדר מרבים בשמחה

• Just like when Av comes we decrease in joy

• so too when Adar comes we increase in joy

why do we start with the decreasing of joy in Av?

especially that in av we still have some joy so its not a full decrease, on the other hand adar is a full increase untill עד דלא ידע

joy is nessecary at all times!

so even in av we need joy but when adding we can add unlimited

Why is joy so important?

hashem wants this world to be his house

hashem is surrounded with joy so in order to feel welcome in his home he needs joy

Why in Av do we decrease if its so imoportant?

the sadness of av

is cleaning out and doing teshuva

the joy of adar

is putting in beautiful things

thats why av comes first

in order to reach the joy of adar we need to get rid of the bad.

thats why purim is so happy because we tranform the enemies into friends
