• Quadratic equations come in three forms: standard, vertex, and factored

• Standard Form: ax² +bx + c

• Factored Form: a(x-p)(x-q)

• Vertex Form: a(x-h)² + k

Factored Form

The word factor in math is focused on multiplication.

If you multiply two linear expressions together, you get a quadratic.

Transforming Quadratics

You can use the distributive property and multiply the two linear expressions to get standard form.
