Standard Form: ax2 +bx + c
Factored Form: a(x-p)(x-q)
Vertex Form: a(x-h)2 + k

The word factor in math is focused on multiplication.
If you multiply two linear expressions together, you get a quadratic.

You can use the distributive property and multiply the two linear expressions to get standard form.
