Unit Vocabulary

Adjectives to describe the healthfulness of food:

• Healthy: is good for you.

• Unhealthy: is bad for you.

• Fatty /high fat: contain a lot of oil.

• Low-fat: doesn't contain a lot of oil.

• Salty: contains a lot of salt.

• Sweet: contains a lot of sugar.

• High.calorie: can make you fat or overweight.

Categories of food:

• Fruits: apple, pepper, lemon, between others.

• Vegetables: onion, letucce, carrots, between others.

• Meat: beef, chicken, sausage, between others.

• Seafood: salmon, shrimp, crab, between others.

• Grains: pasta, rice, bread, between others.

• Dairy products: yogurt, milk, cheese, between others.

• Oils: coconut oil, olive oil, corn oil, between others. -----AND------- Sweets: candy, chocolates, cake, beetween others.
