When was computers invented?

The first mechanical computer, created by Charles Babbage in 1822, doesn't resemble what most would consider a computer today. Therefore, this page provides a listing of each of the computer firsts, starting with the Difference Engine and leading up to the computers we use today.

• We usually have Start button.

• Then, we have "Icons," or apps.

• On the display menu, or known as taskbar, we have the system tray and the search menu.

• We have an action center that we can clear all notifications to prevent battery life; on laptops.

• Lastly, we have DOCX, PPTX, and XLSX to make Documents, Pressentions, and Spreadsheets; or known as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

The Windows Desktop

The desktop has the Icons, Wallpaper, Start Button, Taskbar, Task View virtual desktop option, and the System Tray.
