What is an Adjective? What does it do? Write as much as you can about them.
4
Adjectives
They tell more about the nouns (person, place or thing). They are used to describe them, telling things like color, size, age, quantity, etc.
5
Open Ended
What is Subject Verb Agreement? How do I use it? When do I use it? Write as much as you remember about it.
6
Subject Verb Agreement
It means that the subject and verb need to agree in number. What that means is that if the subject is plural the verb needs to be plural. And if the subject is singular the verb needs to be singular.
verb plural means no "s"
verb singular means we add "s"
Remember you and I are different. They are treated as if they were plural.
7
Open Ended
What are auxiliary verbs? What do they do? What do we need to remember about them? Write as much as you can about them.
8
Auxiliary verbs
Axiliary verbs are helping verbs. They tell you if the verb is in singular or plural and also if it is in present, past or future.
Remember if you use an auxiliary verb you do not need to change your verb. YOU ONLY CHANGE YOUR AUXILIARY.
Common auxiliary verbs are do/does/did; am/is/are/was/were; have/has/had
And they are ONLY used in negatives or questions.
9
Open Ended
What are adverbs? When do we use adverbs? Why do we use adverbs? Write all you know about them.
10
Adverbs
Adverbs tell you more things about the action. Things like: WHEN, WHERE, or How an action was completed.
They are almost like adjectives because they both make your writing more interesting.
