In this mini lesson, you will review how to add mixed numbers. You will see the "Key Idea" and will be guided through a sample of one before you try on your own.

The goal when adding mixed numbers is to add the fractional parts together (using a common denominator) and to add the whole numbers together to form a new mixed number. Let's try one together!

Now, you will try some on your own. Go to Google Classroom and open the document called "Thurs 2/25: Adding Mixed Numbers." The first page will have this sample on it. Go to page 2 to try some practice!
