Why does POV matter?
The point of view of a story is the perspective from which a story is told. Writers may choose to tell their story from one of three perspectives:
First-person: chiefly using "I" or "we"
Third-person: chiefly using "he," "she," or "it," which can be limited—single character knowledge—or omniscient—all-knowing.
Second-person: chiefly using "you" and "your"

When you tell a story from your own point of view you control the narrative.
When a character tells the story using pronouns like the ones above, the audience gets that character's first person point of view.

First Person Narrative
Keep in mind that when you act, you are creating your narrative.
Others tend to talk about what they see, think, or feel.
