Success criteria

• Pupils can rewrite the correct sentences with the correct order of adjectives in the wrong ones. (Activity 1)

• Pupils can read and decide if the statements are T (True) or F (False). (Activity 2)

• Pupils can complete the example review and complete it with the adjectives in brackets in the correct order. (Activity 3)

• Pupils can complete the plan for the example review with the descriptions. (Activity 4)

• Pupils can identify the positivity and negativity of useful expressions. (Activity 5)

Learning focus

• When you have two or more adjectives before a noun, remember to put them in this order: opinion, size, age, shape, colour, origin, material and purpose (OSASCOMP).

• When you have two adjectives of the same kind before a noun, put and between them and put them in alphabetical order (black and white).

- It is good idea to use lots of different vocabulary in your writing to make it more interesting.

- When you are planning in the exam, think about the words you can use to describe people, places or things.

- Try to use lots of different adjectives and not the same ones all the time.
