Present Simple

• We use the simple present tense when an action happens every day. eg. I study English / She studies English.

• When it happens regularly. eg. He helps people at work everyday.

• -S or -ES to the verb to the end

Present Simple (Keywords)

• In general (regulary, often, never)

• always, normally, usually, sometimes

• seldom, never.

• eg. She works in a restaurant every morning.

• The following verbs are usually only used in Present Simple:

• be, have, hear, know, like, love, see, smell, think, want.

Present Continuous

• This verb tense indicates that an action or condition is happening now, frequently, and may continue into the future.

• The Present Continuous Formula: to be + verb + ing
