Globalization is a process of making the world more connected, with goods and services being traded globally and people moving around freely

Opening up of world trading markets, through improvements in transport, communication and the removal of barriers to trade.
commercial activities (many businesses have branches in different countries and/or trade products all over the world
social interactions in person or through social media (Instagram, facebook, twitter etc.

climate change and pollution (global problems)
communicable diseases can affect communities all over the world and the whole world is responsible for trying to control them.

Globalization: the good!
A greater range and quality of goods and services
Chances to export to new and bigger markets
More exports may lead to an increase in employment

More exports resulting in increased business investment
Standards of living may increase, as can wages

Globalization: the bad!
Cheaper, imported goods can be bought by the population at the expense of locally produced goods.
This may result in some companies going out of business.
