Comparisons of inequality are formed by placing más or menos before adjectives, adverbs, and nouns and que after them.

más / menos  +  adverb   + que

                    noun

               

Note that forms that use -er (taller, shorter) in English do not exist in Spanish.

If the comparison involves a numerical expression, de is used before the number instead of que.
