Objective: I can describe how the weather changes affected the Mojave desert.

1- Humans is living in (paleozoic/ mesozoic/ cenozoic ) Era.

2- Dinosaurs used to live in (paleozoic / Mesozoic/ Cenozoic) Era.

3- The rock layers in the bottom is newer than the rock layers in the top( true/ false).

Changes over Time in

• From fossil clues, scientists know that the environments of a particular area have changed a lot over time.

The Mojave Desert

• More than 250 million years ago was covered by a shallow sea. (organisms was different)

• 225 and 60 million years ago, the seas dried up, so the sea animals used to live there couldn't live any more.

• Now it's a desert (cacti and yucca live there).

Changes over time in the Mojave desert.

Million of years ago was covered by sea(sea animals).

Now the seas dried up(desert animals and plants) like cacti and yucca.
