We use the simple present tense when an action happens continually in the present
Every day, every month, every year, etc...

Usage
1. For facts and regular occurrences
2. With frequency adverbs and time expressions
3. With stative (non-action) verbs
4. With future actions, especially those indicating schedules

Verbs in Simple Present Tense only change in the 3rd person singular

Spelling rule #1: We add -s to most verbs in the 3rd person singular:
Take ⟹ Takes
Work ⟹ Works

Spelling rule #2: We add -es for verbs ending in -ch, -s, -sh, -x and -o:
Wash ⟹ Washes
Fix ⟹ Fixes

Spelling rule #3: For verbs ending in -y, we drop the -y and add -ies:
Try ⟹ Tries

To create the negative and question form we use the auxiliary verb "Do"
I do not like to run./ She doesn't like to run.
Do you like to run?/ Does she like to run?
