What is that?

We use the comparative form of the adjective to compare two things


White meat is healthier than red meat. 

Travelling by bus is more comfortable than travelling by train.

Whan can we use?

  • less … than 

  • (not) as … as 

  • than me / than I am 

  • much/a lot/a bit more… 

  • any/no more than 

  • ... and ...

less + adjective + than

Less is the opposite of more. 

Peter is less considerate than Marta. (=Marta is more considerate)

any/no + comparative (any better, no faster, any more expensive)

We use any in negative sentences and no with positive verbs


Your performance was no better than mine.  

Your performance wasn’t any better than mine.

We can use the expression more and morebigger and bigger, worse and worse, etc. to say that something is increasing (rośnie) continuously (czyli musi być +ING przy czasowniku!)
