STS' book pg 77 ex 8

We use 's to show possession. We add it to names and nouns.

• William's brother is called Harry.

We add 's to the singular, even if it ends in -s.

• Thomas's mother was at the wedding.

• Charles's wife is called Camilla.

When plural nouns end in -s, we add an apostrophe ( ' ) after the -s

• Her parents' names are Michael and Carole

When we have 2 names or nouns that have possession, only the second name gets the 's

• John and Mary's car is blue.

• Tom and Jerry's adventure
