Lines, Line Segments and Angles

  • A line is a straight path that goes on forever

  • Parallel lines run along side each other and will never meet.

  • Intersecting lines cross each other.

  • Perpendicular lines cross each other, too. But they make a right angle.

  • Right angles make a square in the corner. Think the corner of a piece of notebook paper.

  • Obtuse (larger than right angles) open wide up!

  • Acute (smaller than right angles) are closer than a right angle. AWWWW! A cute little angle!
