What is Technological Evolution?

A View of the Distant Past, the Present and the Far Future. Technological evolution is also defined as "a material entity created by the application of mental and physical effort to nature in order to achieve some value". In other words, it is a process of improving the quality of everyday life among humans.

The Evolution of Telephones

The word telephone, from the Greek roots tēle, “far,” and phonē, “sound,” was applied as early as the late 17th century to the string telephone familiar to children, and it was later used to refer to the megaphone and the speaking tube, but in modern usage it refers solely to electrical devices derived from the inventions of Alexander Graham Bell and others.

The first telephone patent was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. However, there were also claims that Elisha Gray also invented a similar device at the same time.

Phones of Today

The first handheld cellular mobile phone was demonstrated by John F. Mitchell and Martin Cooper of Motorola in 1973, using a handset weighing 2 kilograms. It has become an essential necessity of the modern world and they continue to remain technological wonders and are more and more becoming must-haves for those who can afford them.
