• The amount of times you multiply a number by itself

• 3² = 3 x 3

• 5³ = 5 x 5 x 5

Multiplication or Division

• First come first serve

• Multiplication and division are solved from left to right

• Example: 3 x 2 + 2 ÷ 3 (multiplication comes before division)

• Example: 14 ÷ 2 + 3 x 6 (division comes before multiplication)
