What is Multiplication?

Multiplication means repeated addition.

Example:

•  $2\times3=6$  2 times 3 means 2 in 3 places.

• So we say,  $\degree\degree$   $\degree\degree$   $\degree\degree$  2 in 3 places if you add it all up it gves you the number 6.

Classwork

•  $2\times5=$  

•  $2\times2=$  

•  $2\times8=$  

•  $2\times3=$  

•  $2\times10=$
