Japanese internment

The Japanese Americans after Pearl Harbor were treated very poorly by the United States government. Many in government in California wanted them removed first to keep them safe for angry white America, secondly because they wanted their land holdings, and thirdly because they felt if invaded they would pose a risk to the United States. President Roosevelt signed executive order 96601 forcing Japanese Americans to sell their property and leave their homes for camps.
