Why did Jesus go into the desert?
After Jesus was baptised , he began his mission . He went into the wild , wanting to be alone from anyone.
He wanted to be alone with his thoughts so he could truly get the meaning of God's mission.
Do you ever feel like you want to be alone to think to yourself? So no one can interrupt your thoughts.....

Jesus had spent 40 days and 40 nights alone with his thoughts in the desert.
However , he was not truly alone....

Jesus being tempted by the devil
During Jesus' time in the desert , Satan ( the devil) was with Jesus.
He constantly tried to test Jesus and tempt him.

First test : stone to bread.
Jesus was very hungry in the desert. Satan came along and told him to turn a stone into bread if he truly was the Son of God.
Although Jesus wanted to eat , he knew that God would provide him with what he needed so he refused.
He passed the first test.

Jesus began his mission to gather his 12 apostles , spreading the good news of the Word of God.
