To compare integers on a number line:

* Plot the integers on a number line.

*We use the symbol < means “is less than,” and the symbol > means “is greater than.”


Among the positive integers, the farther the integer is from zero, the larger is its value. Among the negative integers, the nearer the integer is to zero, the larger is its value.

However, zero is neither positive nor negative.
