The amount of water on Earth never changes. It keeps getting used over and over again.
Write the word ‘cycle’ on the board. Discuss these questions.
What do you think of when we read the word ‘cycle’?

Have you ever heard of the water cycle?
What do they know about it?

Where does rain come from?
How does it get into the cloud?
Ask them to think back to Activity 3.5b. Where did the water on the glass come from?

- The water cycle is the movement of water from the Earth's surface in the air and back again.
- In the water cycle,water evaporates from the Earth's surface, condense to form clouds and falls back to Earth as rain.
