Using SO and SUCH.

  • Both of them usually have the same meaning: ‘‘very’’.

  • Both of them are used to add emphasis to the sentence.

  • Although they have some similarities, there are some differences when used in a sentence.

Structure of 'SO'

So + Adjective:

•It’s so hot today.

•Josh looks so mad.

•The art show was so great!

• Those chocolates are so delicious.

• Jack is so nice.

Use of 'SUCH'

Such + noun phrase. 

•Jack is such a nice guy.

•This is such a delicious pizza.

•This is such a tall building!

•I never knew that she was such a popular artist.

•You are such a liar.

•You wrote such an amazing book.
