Mouth

• Add water to the biscuit drop by drop until it is soft.

• Mash the biscuit so it can be rolled into small balls that can fit into the straw.

Oesophagus

• Roll the food into small balls. Each ball is called a bolus (plural = boli)

• Squeeze the balls in from one end of the straw to the other

• Squeeze the bolus out of the straw and into the ziploc bag.

Stomach

• Ensure all the food is in the ziploc bag.

• Add 10 cm³ of gastric juice into the bag.

• Remove as much air as possible and seal the bag.

• Mix the food and the gastric juice lightly with your hands.
