The Quadratic Formula

•  $x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$  

• a, b and c come from the equation of a quadratic equation  $ax^2+bx+c$  

Why use the Quadratic Formula?

• EVERY QUADRATIC IS NOT FACTORABLE

• The Quadratic formula is used to solve the equations we cannot factor

• Works for every quadratic, but sometimes factoring is easier
