Recitation & Meaning

•  أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ

  1. Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the masters of the elephant

•  أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ

   Did He not make their plan go wrong?

 وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ

And sent against them flocks of birds.

• تَرْمِيهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ

  Striking them with stones of baked clay.

• فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَأْكُولٍ

  Leaving them like chewed-up leaves.
