The Simple Past Tense, often just called the Past Tense.

The Past Tense is used to talk about something that started and finished at a definite time in the past.

Past simple REGULAR 

We often add -ed to verbs (regular verbs) to make the past simple.

We often watch a film on Saturday. ⇒ We watched a movie last Saturday.

I live in Barcelona. ⇒ I lived in Barcelona 2 years ago.
