​Defining relative clause δίνει σημαντικές πληροφορίες, απαραίτητες για το νοημα της κύριας πρότασης. Δε μπαίνει ανάμεσα σε κόμματα και είσαγεται με το who,which, that,whose, where,when, the reason why.
